Today Zappware and Froomle announce a co-operation in which Froomle provides behavioral personalization technology that fuels Zappware’s technology platform. The partnership enables operators to personalize their service, using state-of-the-art data science. The solution leverages user data, including viewership data with all commercial and technical touchpoints that service providers have with their end-users. Those users now get relevant and personalized recommendations on the right content items, quad-play bundles, promotions, and advertising.
Zappware and Froomle bring the best practices in curating any kind of asset to the Video Industry. They provide a unique way to address shared devices without requiring individual login. Recommendations can now be explained and the solution solves the challenge of inserting new items that do not have viewer data yet.
“We are proud to be part of the Zappware ecosystem. From our Academic background, we have found an innovative partner that leads operators worldwide to a better-personalized service. Current state-of-the-art technologies in personalization and recommendation are underused in Video Services and we share the vision of Zappware on how to bring this to the end-user. ‘You are what you see’ and we suggest asset items based on this behaviour” said Prof. Bart Goethals, Co-founder of Froomle.
“Operators have been looking for solutions to leverage viewing and CRM data to personalize their service in the most relevant way. The new technology approach that Froomle has developed takes a whole new dimension to personalization using viewership data as a base and avoiding huge data crunching on less reliable metadata. The co-operation with Froomle fits Zappware’s strategy to turn viewers into consumers” said Patrick Vos – CEO of Zappware N.V.
Entertainment service providers and visitors will be able to discover our innovative solution during live demonstrations at the IBC show in Zappware’s booth located at Hall 1 booth 1.A.81 on September 9-13, 2016 in Amsterdam.
